What is the science behind Yeti cups? It’s All About A Vacuum Seal
Through the use of an airtight vacuum seal. What material helps to make that vacuum seal so impenetrable? Copper. This is essentially the “secret ingredient” of the Yeti cup.
Do Yeti cups stop working? Cold water on its own in a Yeti tumbler will likely stay cold for somewhere between 2 – 6 hours. Obviously, if the outside temperature is high, then these times will reduce slightly but overall, Yeti cups are very good at keeping water cold for a long period of time in a range of conditions.
What technology does Yeti use? The YETI V Series® Cooler uses vacuum insulation – the same technology used in our Rambler® Drinkware and one of the best known insulator. This technology (in addition to a few other factors) offers one of the best insulation that science allows and of course, it’s YETI tough.
Do Yeti mugs keep things cold? These two insulated tumblers look identical. They both hold 30 ounces of liquid, are made of stainless steel, are BPA free, and they each do what they’re supposed to do—keep cold drinks cold.
